JAMES BOND TO RETURN IN 2012

Bond, James Bond to return in 2012

Variety and others are reporting that the delayed/shelved/no money for MGM to make it next James Bond film is finally back on, with Daniel Craig returning to the role of James Bond and Sam Mendes still on board to direct it.
Mendes has long been on board “Bond 23″ as the film’s working title puts it. Neal Purvis wrote the script that they’re planning on shooting, perhaps with the Peter Morgan contributions we’ve heard of.
Judi Dench will be back as “M,” as well. Craig has spent his time between Bonds quite busy, with a number of projects in the can and with the potential to be sizable hits in their own right. Four big films due out this year alone, with some of them being major roles for him. Will “Tintin” or “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” keep him out of tuxedos for long stretches?
Spring seems the likely start of shooting. There was a rumor that this Bond film would re-introduce arch-nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and that Michael Sheen (Morgan’s muse) as Blofeld. But that apparently isn’t happening. Sheen, I mean. Maybe we’ll see the bald Blofeld. Is Mike Myers available?
“Bond 23″ will open in November of 2012.
